Accessibility Management Platform (AMP)

To enable developers to address these issues and determine the compliance of their IT systems with Section 508 and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), SSB BART Group is launching the Accessibility Management Platform (AMP). AMP provides developers with a single, scalable way to determine compliance, training on the latest accessibility requirements, and the ability to track their organization's compliance over time. As part of this launch, SSB BART Group is making available full-scope, turn-key assessments for web sites, web applications, software and hardware systems.
The components of AMP include:
Online Reports
Individual reports allow users to view compliance detail information, violations, module detail and prioritization. Compliance detail information provides a rule set definition of the compliance level of the application with the relevant rule sets. The violations view allows users to view individual best practices with associated occurrence rates for a given violation. Module detail allows the user to view an individual module associated with a report and the violation instances associated with that module. Finally, prioritization provides a matrix of the relative prioritization of a violation with respect to other violations in the report.
Testing Tools
Testing tools permit access to InFocus desktop for testing of web modules and web applications. In addition, they allow access to InFocus Enterprise for large scale testing and scheduled recurring testing.
Best Practice Browser
Best practice browser allows users to browse through the high level best practices within the application. The best practice browser is based on media types and allows users to drill down from high level media types to low level media types.
eLearning
Access to online course content and training materials. Online training is self paced and includes skills assessments. As developers complete training a detailed record is maintained. This can be used towards ongoing training or certification requirements.
Ask an Expert
Accessibility help desk for specific questions related to accessibility. Ask an expert allows developers to submit questions regarding standards, assistive technologies and implementation techniques to accessibility experts. The developers will receive the responses quickly.
Reference Library
The reference library will contain SSB BART Group’s static content such as the consulting methodology, a Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT), an Accessibility Readme Template, recommended implementation specification, legislation information, white papers and related static content. The static content and navigation structure will be defined and encompassed in static file system content. |
